Description
Description
Shimano 12 speed thus makes it possible to retain the cogs that are most comfortable to ride at average speeds, despite large differences in ratio. Also, Hyperglide+ technology delivers a 1/3rd shorter shifting time compared to previous cassette and chain combinations. The cassettes come with the well-known HG fitting, which is compatible with all Shimano HG 11-speed bodies.
Technology
Hyperglide+Hyperglide+ is a technology used in cassettes and chains that provides a more efficient way of shifting. It is not only faster, but also smoother under load and under road vibrations. In other words, better chain engagement, stronger guidance and smoother pedalling offer more power and confidence on fast-moving terrain.
Compatibility
• 11 - 30 (11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-24-27-30)• 11 - 34 (11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30-34)
Assembly
Mounting with special toolsTo assemble and disassemble this cassette you will need specific cassette tools. These can be found here. For further explanation and a detailed instruction on how to use these tools, we refer you to our blog about changing a cassette. See this blog.
Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened up, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you to apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.
User tips
How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

Indispensable for more serious climbing .
The mountain version of the 30 - 11. For anyone who does not want to ride on the lightest or second lightest gear on steeper climbs. If you only ride in the Netherlands you don't need it, or indeed, you are better off with the 30 - 11.

Mantel is indeed a wielie good company
Been a regular Mantel customer for years ! The fine inscriptions on the boos brighten me up every time in contrast to harbinger letter carrier who often comes ringing the doorbell
